Bolków Castle - a medieval fortress
One of the most distinctive fortresses in Lower Silesia. Bolków Castle, built in the 13th century during the reign of Bolko I, still impresses with its massive walls and unique tower. Over the centuries, it served as a strategic defense point, treasury, and residence, passing into the hands of the Piasts, Czechs, and the Cistercian order. Today, it houses a museum and a Knightly Brotherhood that organizes tournaments and historical events. It is a must-visit spot for fans of medieval fortresses and the 4 Castles Trail of the Bolków Commune.
A family attraction right below the castle - Park u Bolka
Before entering the fortress area, a charming Park u Bolka awaits – a miniature world of castles, legends, and medieval characters. Kids will love the 14-meter wooden figure of Prince Bolko, knights, dragons, and magical stories hidden among the greenery.
